Edge height

Around 1/3rd of the edging may be buried, which provides additional support to the edge

Full tree rings do not need to be buried at all.

Peg Length

Pegs are at least 100mm longer than your selected edging,

In softer soils you may need to use longer pegs, and or intermediate pegs on the longer lengths of edging (1800mm and 2100mm)

Preformed curves and corners

Use preformed corners and curves to create unique garden layouts

Quarter, Eighth and Half circles, plus square corners are all in stock

Haunch is high load locations

In edging applications with anticipated high traffic loadings, haunching is suggested to provide more support

Coating buried corten

Coating buried corten with bitumen paint will increase the lifespan

Temporary stakes until concrete sets

The installer will vary the depth buried and height of haunching based on expected use.

Corten edging available in

Small gaps at joins will be hidden by pegs

Corten is supplied as “blue steel” unweathered, Weathering takes 3-12 months of wet dry cycles

Corten steel is a high tensile steel, however our DIY friendly curves in solid 3mm and 6mm thick edging, make tight radii simple to install.

Peg fold fits snuggly over edging

The 3mm peg is designed to securely join the corten edge pieces. In softer soils you may need longer pegs

Install Flat Face pegs with a hammer

In summer soften the soil the night before, to make it easier to drive the pegs in.

Do not hammer Flat top edging in, set support posts in holes filled with concrete

String line and profile set up

Coating buried corten with bitumen paint will increase the lifespan

Install corten 1st

Then cut paving to fit. Place concrete paths after edging is installed

Using temporary stakes

Once the paving and gardens are in place, the stakes can be removed

Concrete around the peg base

For some projects using longer pegs and a small amount of concrete around the peg base, supports the edging prior to the paving and soil being placed
