Based on retaining flat ground behind wall with no surcharges and flat ground in front of wall.
Pile hole depths and diameters, assume good bearing soils. in excess of 200KPA

Retaining wall post guidelines
Timber posts comply with NZS 3605:2001 “Timber poles and piles for use in building, treated to NZS 3602:2003 “timer and wood-based products for use in buildings” Specification H5
Concrete for foundation backfill shall be ordinary grade concrete complying with NZS 3109:1997 ” concrete construction” and with a 28 day strength of 17.5MPA

The wall drainage must be inspected and maintained (rodded/jetted) annually and after particularly heavy rainfall events. This is essential to prevent the pore water pressures increasing behind any retaining wall.
